The Liberty Township Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing & Meeting on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the Liberty Township Building, 6290 Sportsman Club Road NW, Johnstown, Ohio 43031. The nature and purpose of said meeting is to solicit and receive public input on rezoning of 6252 Johnstown-Utica Road, Johnstown, OH, from Agricultural District to General Business District, and engage in discussions among members of the Commission on this subject. After consideration by the Zoning Commission, the matter will be referred to the Liberty Township Board of Trustees.

Cemetery Charges Have Changed as of 02/08/2021 (posted 02/08/2021)

Waste Management - Questions Concerning Information on Bills Suggesting a $75.00 Container Pick-up Fee Upon Cancellation of Service (posted 01-11-2021)
Several residents have contacted the township inquiring about the $75.00 container pick-up fee noted on their quarterly bill. The township has contacted Waste Management of Ohio, Inc. and have confirmed that: "Since Liberty Township has a contract with Waste Management, there is no charge for a container pick-up."

Waste Management of Ohio, Inc. has provide their brochure that details the services provided under the new contract. Residents of Liberty Township will receive this brochure in the mail as well: Waste Management Brochure
Note: Waste Management of Ohio, Inc. will be delivering 96 gallon toters to residents who do not currently have a WM toter. These should be delivered by 10/14/2020.

Liberty Township has entered into a three year contract with Waste Management of Ohio, Inc.
Waste Management of Ohio, Inc. held the previous contract as well.
The new monthly costs are as follows

The above prices include a 96 gallon Toter at no additional charge.

Also note that recycling will no longer be collected curbside. Recycling can be placed in any of the three recycling containers located at the township facility at 6290 Sportsman Club Rd.
